Ashley's Mission District and an old photo of Ashley and Roxy!
Hola,
This week has been eventful!
It Snowed for the first time; we made breakfast for an investigator at 7am so he would go to church; we had a rib eating contest with the other missionaries; and there was an amazing fireside that was super spiritual! Unfortunately this week has ended with sad news. One of the members that we have been working with passed away yesterday of cancer. Originally, the chemo was working and he was getting better, but in the last few weeks he got worse and was in a lot of pain. Now he is with is dad and is free from pain. His family is very sad, but yesterday we were able to visit them before he passed and we talked more about temples and how they can be sealed as a family and be together for eternity.
My testimony of the plan of salvation has grown so much during my mission. I know that Gods plan is perfect and that this life on earth is just a small piece of the plan he has for us. And that every time we are pushed/tried/challenged, it is because it is time for us to grow so we can be happier. I know I am a hypocrite because nothing has happened to me that is so hard, but I have seen others go through hard things and have losses. Their testimonies and faith in God, strengthens my testimony and my faith as well.
Families can be together forever, I am so glad that I can be with mine for eternity.

Ashley continues to do well and is enjoying her mission. I love all the beautiful experiences she is having and love hearing about her growing testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She usually teaches me something each week, and I love it!
Ashley's emails seem to get shorter and shorter, but I know she is busy. Fortunately, her companions also share their thoughts with their families and sometimes I get copies of their letters to add to the details!
Ashley mentioned to me this week that she purposely did not tell me about her ear piercings last week because she wanted to do an experiment to see how quickly I would find out! She was impressed that it only took me a few hours! Moms do find out details one way or another!
Only got the one photo this week, so also posting a few OLD photos of Ashley when she was little--ones I shared with her this past week. I had to have something to share with you all!
