This week I had an "Endure to the End" meeting where we talked about finishing our missions strong and with no regrets. I am so excited to be able to be training for my last two transfers. It will be fun to finish with all that greenie fire!
Conference was super awesome! Too hard to chose a favorite talk, and I can't wait to read the Priesthood session next week. One of the major themes I got out of it was that we need to be continually converted to the gospel, and strengthen our faith everyday. Also a lot on the Spirit.
Today we went to Mt Vernon, George Washington's home. It is so cool to live in an area that was the birthplace of America. Is is so clear to see how much God had his hand in creating this free country to pave the way for the restoration of the gospel.
Love, Hermana Peabody
Ashley's emails seem to be getting shorter and shorter as the close of her mission approaches. I know she has so many things that she is busy with, and we will have to get the details when she returns. Ashley did not send a group email today, but did send the above few thoughts to me, in addition to a few other thoughts.
Ashley is quickly coming to the end of her mission, but will finish strong. In two weeks, six of her Hermana friends go home (I can't wait to meet them) and then the five remaining Hermanas will train five new missionaries, or "greenies." Ashley will train for the last two transfers of her mission, and is excited to do so.
I got a few photos from Ashley today, but some were also "borrowed" from other companions. The Moms and Dads are getting creative now on getting information and pictures, by sharing what we receive, since the Hermanas seem to send less and less as their missions come to a close.
